About This Product

This is an original road-map T-shirt by Hasegawa Shizen Kobo featuring all 21 Michi-no-Eki roadside stations in Saitama Prefecture together with the major roads that connect them.

Each roadside station was researched and placed individually on the map. Rather than simply showing the outline of Saitama Prefecture, the design combines the locations of the roadside stations with the surrounding road network so you can see where each Michi-no-Eki is located and which roads can be used to reach it.

This T-shirt was created for people who enjoy visiting Michi-no-Eki, driving, and exploring roads and maps, as well as for those with a connection to Saitama Prefecture.

In addition to the design itself, this product was also selected with long-term, repeated wear in mind.

After wearing many different T-shirts over the years, I found that 100% cotton shirts can sometimes lose their shape or become stretched after repeated wear and washing.

For this reason, this product uses the Next Level 6210, made from a CVC blend of 60% combed ring-spun cotton and 40% polyester, rather than 100% cotton.

The polyester content helps the shirt maintain its shape, dry more quickly, and stand up well to repeated wear. At the same time, the combed ring-spun cotton provides a soft feel that remains comfortably close to the feel of a 100% cotton T-shirt.

In other words, the goal was not to sacrifice comfort for durability, but to achieve a balance between softness and long-lasting everyday wear.

It is designed to be worn again and again for everyday use, travel, driving, and Michi-no-Eki road trips.

About the Design

This design places all 21 Michi-no-Eki roadside stations in Saitama Prefecture on a single map, together with the road network so their locations and connections can be easily understood.

To make the different road types easy to distinguish at a glance, the map uses the following color coding:

• National highways: thick red lines

• Prefectural roads: thin orange lines

• Expressways: thick blue-and-white lines

National highways are marked with the distinctive “ONIGIRI” route-sign shape showing the route number.

For Michi-no-Eki that are not located directly on national highways, hexagonal prefectural road markers, commonly known as “HEKISA,” are also included where needed to make the access routes easier to understand.

Rather than simply placing the roadside stations as separate points, the design combines them with the actual road network to create a map that lets you enjoy seeing where each Michi-no-Eki is located within Saitama Prefecture and how the roads connect them.

Below the map, the text “SAITAMA MICHI NO EKI” is placed in a simple style.

How to Read the Size Chart
Width: Measured across the shirt near the underarms while laid flat
Length: Measured from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem
Sleeve Length: Based on the manufacturer’s listed sleeve measurement

Due to the manufacturing process, actual measurements may vary by up to approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm).
