About This Product

This is an original Michi-no-Eki map T-shirt by Hasegawa Shizen Kobo, featuring all 28 roadside stations in Aomori Prefecture on a single map.

Aomori is home to many different road landscapes, including coastal routes, mountain roads, and roads leading through the Tsugaru and Shimokita Peninsulas.

Each roadside station was individually checked and placed on the map so you can see where each Michi-no-Eki is located within Aomori Prefecture as a whole.

This T-shirt was created for people who enjoy visiting Michi-no-Eki and taking road trips, as well as those with a connection to Aomori, people who love roads and maps, and anyone planning to explore Aomori in the future.

For this product, I also wanted to focus not only on the design, but on making a T-shirt that can be worn repeatedly for a long time.

For that reason, I changed from the previous 100% cotton T-shirt to the Next Level 6210, made from a CVC blend of 60% combed ring-spun cotton and 40% polyester.

From my own experience wearing many different T-shirts, I have sometimes found that 100% cotton shirts can lose their shape or become stretched after repeated wear and washing.

For this product, I therefore intentionally chose a fabric containing polyester, with an emphasis on better shape retention, quicker drying, and suitability for repeated wear.

At the same time, because the fabric still contains 60% combed ring-spun cotton, it retains a soft and comfortable feel against the skin.

It was selected to provide durability and easy everyday wear without significantly sacrificing comfort.

It is designed to be worn again and again, whether for everyday use, travel, road trips, or Michi-no-Eki touring.

About the Design

This design features all 28 Michi-no-Eki in Aomori Prefecture placed on a map of Aomori.

Rather than simply listing the names of the roadside stations, the map allows you to see which part of Aomori each Michi-no-Eki is located in.

The layout lets you view the entire prefecture, including the Tsugaru Peninsula, Shimokita Peninsula, southern Aomori, and inland areas, while enjoying the relative locations of each roadside station.

You can use the map to remember Michi-no-Eki you have already visited, find places you would like to visit next, or simply enjoy it as inspiration for a future journey through Aomori.

Enjoy Aomori’s roads and journeys on a single map.

The design uses the official Michi-no-Eki symbol mark with permission from Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Width: Measured from side to side around the underarm area with the T-shirt laid flat
Length: Measured from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem
